Cave of Forgotten Dreams (2010)
A documentary about the Chauvet Cave by Werner Herzog. A mesmerizing look at some of the oldest art done by our ancestors, which tries to listen to the echo it emanates today; which oftentimes feels forced. Nonetheless, it is an awe inspiring documentary, that reminds how many things must happen, how many circumstances have to occur for us to be able to learn as much as we did from this cave system; and how meticulous the work to reconstruct and preserve this «time machine» is.
