The Incredibles 2 (2018)

While the first movie feels like a pre-viz version of the actual thing when watched in 2026, this one has something about it i couldn't put my finger on at first. Then we see a glimpse of Jonny Quest ¹ and i realized: It feels like Thunderbirds².

The second movie picks up right were we left the first one, and it also does shares the biggest flaw of it's predecessor with asking a question and not answering it … sorry, it does answer the question with a statement that left me hanging in the air – yes, i might demand too much of this movie. Other than that, it's a good sit, set in a delightfully retro-futuristic 1962, but burdened with a story that seems to screech to a halt rather than end – let's see if we get a third movie in 2032.
