A raw take on the legend of Robin Hood. It begins as Frank Miller's Hood Returns, and through that, takes him out of that environment, and gives him a chance. I didn't like the ending; i understand it, i just can't process it.
The whole thing looks beautiful, changes aspect ratio once, which i see people being bothered by. My biggest worry was Hugh Jackman, which basically plays Wolverine in a different costume, yet, he is talented enough–knows how to use that face–to fill the part beyond showing someone who's old and still the best at what he does.

The movie doesn't shy away from showing raw violence; kid gets an arrow through the head, and is later seen walking around with the resulting brain damage, fights aren't ballet performances, and instead people in the 13th century surviving with whatever's at hand. It ends after 45 minutes, but what you saw until then hangs over the atmosphere of the rest of the movie, which is needed for the movie to tell it's story, so if that isn't for you, and you want to see it nonetheless, look after yourself.
