Silent Running (1972)
The movie should feel »contemporary«, still, it feels way too long. One can trash the movie based on it's premise already, and it stacks up a few unlogical things along the way, what bothered me most was, how Lowell was already mad person right at the beginning, and spending 89 minutes as witness to his further decline could have been told better. Still, it's one of the classics, and rightfully so, but only if you're of a certain generation.
