Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016)

Ricky Backer's a foster child in the care of Bella and Hector. After Bella dies due to a stroke, Ricky is to be relocated; which he doesn't want to, Hector though thinks it's for the better. Ricky fails with faking his death and instead hides in the bush. Hector follows him and thinks go pear-shaped in a hilarious manner.
Turning ten years old, this might be Taika Waititi's best movie; showing blending cruel reality with human warmth and humor; coupled with a good cast and … oddly sharp cinematography. Seriously, i don't know if it's due to the settings of the Blu-Ray player or the Screen, colour fidelity and sharpness looked off the charts, which made the different hues of nature add depth.
Rhys Darby is the secret mvp here, in just five minutes of screentime, he inserts a manic energy that gets one riled up for the finale, after the middle had started to get too long.
